I've literally waited years to make this character. He's based off of this cat >> turbotastic << (and has a few traits thanks to catitty Turkfish Commission)
I just never had a group to put him in until now /o\ I'm very excited to use him!!

[Personality]

Polite+ | Hardy + | Patient= | Reserved= | Dependant- | Jealous-

Polite

Molefur has always been a kind soul. Even as a kit, he was taught to use his manners, and keep anything rude from passing his lips. Some say his kindness is fake, because it very closely resembles his mother’s. Sometimes, that very well is the case, but Molefur doesn’t let that suspicion show true. He tries to be friendly with every cat, unless they show that they deserve otherwise. He has a gentlemanly feel about him, and if he were a more attractive cat, he might even be able to reel in she-cats, or friends, with his polite attitude.

Hardy

Molefur is a cat of endurance. He can take anything thrown at him, and take it in stride. His hardy personality and his patience go hand in hand with eachother. Molefur is capable of working through many conditions with a straight face, and it won’t break his confidence. Even in his depression, he doesn’t find himself wanting to quit. He works through everything with a confident gait, and hope that the future will get better.

Patient

Molefur is a very patient cat. He’s willing to wait out anything. He doesn’t act to make anything move forward, and will wait moons if he has to. He’s not a very initiative cat, and usually waits for others to start things before he joins in. While this trait is good in some senses, like training apprentices, hunting, and waiting out the rainy weather, it’s also bad, because if he’s not pushed to do something about a situation, his waiting can make it worse.

Reserved

Molefur is a solitary cat. He doesn’t mean to be that way, and in fact, doesn’t like to be that way. But he’s always been a cat of few words, few friends, and few actions to change that. He keeps to himself most the time, and tends to be very standoffish around groups of other cats. That’s not to say he doesn’t talk to others when they’re around, he simply doesn’t seek out company unless he’s already acquainted with another.

Dependant

Some might say being dependant on others isn’t that bad. But in Molefur’s case, it is. He’s not dependant in the sense that he relies on other’s company, seeing as he rarely has any anyways. It’s more in the sense that he can’t initiate anything himself. Molefur has a hard time starting things, and if he isn’t pushed to do them, it’s not unheard of that he might simply sit back and wait for things to happen. In a way, he’s lazy.

Jealous

Molefur is jealous of other cats. He’s jealous of other cats’ ability to socialize, and he’s jealous of friendships between others. His jealousness can sometimes lead to scowling when he’s unaware he’s being looked at, and it can counter out the polite air he has when actually confronting others. Molefur rarely gets good attention from strangers, and when he does, he savors it. When it’s stolen, he won’t be outright rude about it, he’s never outright rude, but he will withdraw into his shell, and it scares others away.

[History]

Before Birth

Rosey the Second was a pet. In fact, she wasn’t just any pet -- she was a show cat. A purebred raised for generations to compete in the hairless breed showcases that allowed oddities such as Ukrainian Levkoys like her into them. Rosey II was at a local competition one day, and a couple upwalker kits got into the room and let chaos enfold when they opened up the cages. When the upwalker adults came into the room to fix everything, it all got worse. 3 Showcats escaped that day, Rosey II being one of them, adventurous and curious of the outside world.

Rosey II wandered for several days in upwalker place before she managed to find her way out of the dangerous, hunger inducing place. She was starving when she jumped over the final fence and ended up in a thin forest. The she-cat wandered for a while, but when a couple weird smelling wild cats began to chase her off, “what in star plans name is that?” She thought they said. “That?” She was a cat! Thank you very much. “star plan?” Crazy wild cats spoke nonsense and couldn’t even recognize their own species.

That was how Rosey II ended up on the Windclan moores, surrounded by yet another group of wild cats. They spat threats at her, until one cat stepped forward to save the poor, terrified kittypet. When he explained who they were, and that his name was Stonewhisker, she calmed down, and curiously asked the cats questions. She ended up following them to their camp, even after they’d told her to bug off. She ended up staying with the clan, because they hadn’t an idea what to do with the useless kittypet that wouldn’t leave them alone, and was too innocent to attack. Rosey II joined Windclan, after a lot of begging, and her temporary mentor was Stonewhisker. Rosey II turned out to be a fairly good hunter, though her fighting skills were mediocre at best. Rosey II’s closest friend turned out to be her mentor’s own son, Mousepelt.

Rosey II never realized how hard being a wild cat would be until after her first leafbare hit. She nearly froze to death before the season ended. Her only source of warmth most nights was being pressed up against Mousepelt while she slept unsoundly. Mousepelt did all he could to keep his friend warm, and Rosey II wondered why he was so nice. And after Rosey II had received her warrior name, Roseyear (she refused to drop the ‘y’ in her name no matter what her clanmates said of it), she found out the reason was more than just friendship.

Roseyear didn’t care much for Mousepelt in the sense he cared for her (though she was incredibly flattered considering how others treated her and her hairless looks) and she didn’t particularly want to be his mate. She wondered as leafbare drew to a close if she could even last another year in the wild. But Roseyear was willing to give it a try, and she accepted Mousepelt as her mate, which made the small tom incredibly ecstatic.

When Roseyear began expecting Mousepelt’s kits, though, she felt cold fear. Because if she had these kittens...what if they froze? What if they all froze?

Kithood

Roseyear gave birth to 3 half-breed kittens. When Mousepelt came in to help name them, though, Roseyear refused to let him name two of them, and he was shocked when she gave them kittypet names. Roseyear announced then that she would be leaving Windclan and going home, because she couldn’t take the life of a warrior. The Windclan leader revoked Roseyear’s warrior name, and she didn’t complain.

When Rosey II left, she only took two of her kittens with her. Her third, the one she’d allowed Mousepelt to name, was left with a foster mother in Windclan. She said, “I know it means a lot, to make a warrior out of your son, and you’ll do best with one with fur.” Ulysses and Rosey III would never know their father, while Molekit would never know his mother. Mousepelt fell into a heartbroken depression, but did the best he could for his young, mostly-hairless kit. He was thankful that his genes had gone to the kit, because maybe with the fur around his belly and legs, he wouldn’t freeze like his mother had feared.

Molekit was strong, despite the half-hairless mess of fluff he had been born as. Cats in the clan gave him dirty looks, but they had grown used to his worse-looking mother, and eventually the hype of the half-fluff kit died down to a few murmurs between the younger cats. Molekit’s looks were almost wiped off the map when another couple of warriors birthed a..creature that they named Splitkit right before his apprentice ceremony. Mousepelt tried to teach his son not to judge the young cat on his looks, but everyone did, him included. And while Molekit wasn’t ever as bad as most cats, he still left the nursery a little glad that he didn’t have to look at the 3 eyed fluff ball. He was just glad eyes were off of him for a change.

Apprenticeship

By the time Molepaw was apprenticed, Leaf Fall was already setting in. The young cat could already feel the chill on his bare skin. To compensate for his lack of knowledge on how to carry himself in the fastly cooling weather, Molepaw was given his mentor, a tom named Shortfur. Shortfur, similar to Molepaw, had short fur, and was effected largely by the cold. He was also fairly elderly, probably a few moons short of being an elder. But Molepaw decided he wouldn’t complain about having an older mentor, because Mousepelt said it was all for the best, and that he should trust his leader’s decisions.

Mousepelt’s words were true, in this case. Molepaw learned quickly that he needed to keep warm as best as he possibly could, now that he didn’t have his foster mother’s fur to curl into anymore, and the warm sunlight to kiss his cold skin every day. Leaf Fall was thankfully kind to the young apprentice, and it never got too cold. He learned to fight and hunt well, and his fur color was surprisingly helpful to him when it came to helping on the moors, because he looked like a rock, or mud, rather than a cat. Even his scent wasn’t as cat-like as most others, for his lack of fur made him smell ever so different.

Molepaw’s first gathering was surprisingly easy to bare. Cats of the other clans had seldom seen a warrior with no fur, or half fur, and while majority of cats regarded him with disgusted or confused expressions, some only regarded him with curiousness. A few Thunderclan warriors seemed to recognize him, though, and when he was approached, he found out that they were the very warriors that had originally chased his mother off of their territory. They were surprisingly friendly towards him, and Molepaw decided that other clans weren’t all bad.

Despite his first gathering going over relatively well, when attention turned from him to Splitpaw in future moons, he felt a little relieved not to be the odd one out. He pitied the poor apprentice, though, and when on rare occasions he was set to spar with the younger cat, he would try and be polite as possible. He didn’t want to make an enemy out of his clanmate, especially one that was unknowingly helping bear the weight of being “weird” on his shoulders.

Leafbare didn’t badly affect Molepaw until well into his training. But when snow started to fall, he could feel it’s effects. Molepaw was relieved when, on particularly cold nights, Shortfur would come to the apprentices den and curl himself around his young apprentice, and they would keep eachother warm. Molepaw realized that it wasn’t only for his own benefit, but Shortfur, too, benefitted from sleeping next to his apprentice. Molepaw became aware of the fact that without sharing their sleeping space, Shortfur might very well have passed away in his sleep from the sheer cold. He was too old to be training him, but he was willing to keep on for Molepaw’s sake. And Molepaw felt honored by this fact.

Warrior

Molepaw became a warrior in mid New Leaf. The cold had finally warded off, and he’d been able to sleep without shivering into unconsciousness. Molepaw was given the name Molefur, and was rewarded a dirty look from his leader when he was forced to touch the younger cat’s shoulder. Molefur suspected his leader was disliked him, but he didn’t feel so bad, because he’d seen his junior, Splitpaw, get looks similar. In fact, he was happy that he wasn't looked upon with as much intensity.

Shortfur was made an elder less than a moon later, and Molefur was happy that his mentor finally had some peace. Molefur worked hard for his clan as a warrior, and for a while, lead a regular life. Cats had grown fairly used to his appearance, and he wasn’t looked down upon as he once had been. That was, until his leader went haywire. Molefur was one of the cats who got the worst treatment of his clanmates, though he was aware than many others, Patchstar’s former apprentice, Splitface, included, were treated worse.

Molefur wasn’t a cat of action, though, and ended up sitting back, watching as others were the ones to defend Windclan from its tyrant. He was relieved when Sapstar became leader, and was only slightly surprised when his junior surpassed him and became deputy.

Molefur was glad to be back to his regular duties as a warrior, with good leaders leading Windclan once more. His happiness was tainted, though, when Shortfur contracted greencough in early leafbare several moons later. Shortfur passed away in his sleep before the greencough could even worsen to blackcough, and Molefur was left very depressed for several moons. He suffered this Leafbare alone, only finding warmth when his father would allow him to crawl into his nest. Though, that was seldom, because Mousepelt, too, was getting on in years, and rather than being a polite old tom, he was becoming a grump of an old cat.

Mousepelt didn’t hold out as long as Shortfur had in being  warrior, and retired as early as he could to the elders den. Molefur was left alone in the warriors den, then. He was a little surprised to find that, without his mentor, he’d never made real friends with any of his clanmates. He’d made more friends in Thunderclan than his own clan. He found himself feeling lonelier and lonelier, and that only got worse after Splitface became Splitstar and moved to the Leader’s Den. While they’d never shared any real connection, they weren’t even friends, Molefur felt some kinship in the fact that they were both different.

Molefur became worse when the rains came, and rather than sleeping out under the stars like most warriors were still adament to do, he tended to seek shelter, fearful that he might catch illness or freeze because of the weather. Molefur continues still to be friendly with his clanmates, but has yet to forge any real friendships with any cat.
