BotS | New Deputy

Chillwhisker sat proudly beside his new apprentice. He was eager to begin training his second apprentice. Her name was Rainpaw. The tom sighed, she would be a huge handful for him, she was much to clumsy. But I'll fix her up, she'll be a proper warrior by the time I'm done with her. He though, grinning devilishly. Rainpaw met his gaze, and Chillwhisker lightened his smile. "Oh, you'll be fine, kit. Don't worry." He laughed, seeing the scared expression that had appeared on the apprentices face.

The apprentice ceremonies had ended, and now Talonstar stood tall as she searched over the cats. His heart pounded excitedly. He was the easiest pick as deputy of Sleetclan. She was sure to pick him! She opened her mouth, and Chillwhisker stood up, ready to proudly stalk to the front of the group.

"I, Talonstar, leader of Sleetclan, say these words in front of our warrior ancestors.. Shadowfire will be the new deputy!"

Chillwhisker, fell back, eyes widening, then turning to glistening slits as his gaze landed on Shadowfire. Foxheart, I'll straighten him out! He thought, deviously. This was MY chance, you'll get yours.

Rainpaw made a move to head towards the front of the clearing to share congratulations with the new deputy, but quickly Chillwhisker stomped his paw in the she-cat's way. "No." He said firmly, continuing to glare daggers at the cats at the front of the crowd. The apprentice attempted to peak over his arm, and the tom let out a blunt sigh. "Come on, Rainpaw, I'll show you the territory." He muttered, and quickly added. "And don't you dare go around speaking to any stupid warriors besides me without my say so." He growled, and stalked towards the exit tunnel without checking if his apprentice was following or not.
